All India Chess FederationThe All India Chess Federation is central administrative body for the game of chess in India. Founded in 1951, the federation is affiliated to Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) the world body for chess.

The AICF’s main goals are to promote chess awareness and participation throughout India, host tournaments and championships, select national teams for international competitions, and cultivate and nurture chess talent.

The AICF also participates in player evaluation, confers national titles, and represents Indian chess interests abroad. It is essential in assisting Indian chess players and giving them chances to succeed on both the national and international stages.
